The Farm

Located just off Highway 378 between Gilbert and Lexington, I started Aurora Meadows Farm & Floristry in my backyard in 2023. After a year of growing and learning in my own space, I am relocating the farm to a larger 1/3 acre field at my parents' property, which has allowed me to open it to the public. Now, I’m excited to share the beauty of my blooms with the community firsthand.

At Aurora Meadows Farm & Floristry, we specialize in providing unique, personalized floral experiences. From our flower subscriptions that deliver seasonal blooms right to your door, to on-farm events and workshops that bring people together to create something beautiful, there's something for everyone. We also offer bloom bars for special occasions, where guests can build their own bouquets, and a la carte wedding flowers for couples who want gorgeous, custom arrangements without the full-service price. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or simply want to enjoy fresh flowers, we make it easy to experience the beauty of locally grown blooms.

The Flowers

Supporting locally grown flowers offers benefits that extend far beyond the beauty of the blooms themselves. Did you know that around 80% of flowers sold in the U.S. are imported from countries thousands of miles away? Choosing locally grown flowers helps reduce the carbon footprint associated with long-distance transportation and supports more sustainable farming practices. Locally grown blooms are harvested at their peak freshness, meaning you get vibrant, longer-lasting flowers that haven’t spent days in transit. Plus, locally sourced flowers offer unique seasonal varieties and a sense of connection to your region’s natural beauty.

In addition to environmental benefits, buying local flowers directly supports small farmers and strengthens the local economy. Every purchase from a local flower farm like ours not only helps keep floriculture alive in your community but also supports a network of other small businesses, from seed suppliers to local artisans who craft tools and supplies. By choosing locally grown flowers, you’re not just brightening your day with fresh blooms, but also nurturing the local economy and helping other small businesses thrive alongside your favorite flower farm.

The Name

The name "Aurora Meadows" holds deep personal meaning for me, rooted in the early days when I first started growing flowers during a time of profound grief. Every morning, I would wake up before dawn, just as the first light began to touch the sky, and walk through my garden. I would talk to and water my plants, willing them to survive the harsh summer. In those moments, I felt like my plants and I were in it together—both of us struggling to survive but holding on to hope.

As I wandered through the garden each morning, there came a point when the first rays of sunlight would gently hit my face. It always felt like a quiet reminder from God that the darkness wouldn't last forever and that His light would find me, surrounding me with warmth like a cozy blanket. The word "Aurora" means dawn in Latin, and I wanted to honor those moments in my garden when the dawn met me with such kindness and promise each day. That's how Aurora Meadows came to be—a reflection of resilience, grace, and the beauty of new beginnings.
